Where it started

Fish Fabrications was founded by Sam Fish in 2009 after graduating from Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art. The business grew organically serving emerging artists and designers, later expanding to work with leading international galleries, museums and design agencies.

Sam first picked up the welding torch aged 8 and grew up around a workshop, learning young and developing an attention to detail. A genuine passion for metalwork and the related processes keeps Sam excited and keen to help with the next project.

How we work

We aim to be a fabricator that helps fun and challenging projects happen. We don't shy away from the complicated work and relish the problem solving and hurdles that brings. We regularly help develop initial sketches into fully formed pieces. Our background in fine art means we understand how important the little details can be and during this process we want to enable the artist or designer to keep control of the aesthetics.

Customers bring their ideas to us in many formats, from sketches on envelopes to fully formed CAD renders. Please don't feel you need a formal drawing to make an enquiry, sometimes a sketch can be even better at communicating your idea!

What we stand for

We aim to make the smallest environmental impact through the services we provide. Our workshop in Norfolk sits alongside a huge solar farm and we are active in reducing waste and recycling as much as possible.

We strive to be a progressive and inclusive company that puts the environment and equality at the top of our priorities, seeking out education for ourselves so we can leave the world in a better place.
