We were asked to fabricate a curved bench for Designer Lilly Gomm that is influenced by the flowing railways of Switzerland. This was installed in the Swiss Sanctuary Garden for the 2022 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The fabrication became very hands-on, with the curved track sections rolled as pairs to match the 1:1 printed drawings from Lilly. These were then welded in place and sanded to be seamless. We then added a 1mm groove to give a visual separation of the joining tracks as they do on railway junctions.

The whole bench is stainless steel, with the majority powdercoated and the top polished to a fine brushed grain.
