Heatherwick Studio - Spun Chair

We worked closely with the team at Heatherwick Studio to help produce some metal ‘Spun Chairs’
Our role was to jig the supplied spun components, TIG weld and then file and sand to a seamless finish. Care has to be taken to ensure the heat is built into the structure evenly during the welding process. The sanding and finishing is tricky because the seams interrupt the flowing curves so need to be ground flush very carefully.
